on the shoulders of giants

One day I realized that knowledge was like a treadmill.  If I didn’t stop to record and reflect on things I see, read, and experience from time to time, I would forget 90%+ of what I thought I learned.  That’s why I decided to make this site.

As for me, I’m a petroleum engineer who is interested in technology, energy, finance, fractal symmetry, culture, self-improvement, and people.  I like hearing contrarian views.  I don’t take myself or blogs too seriously.

I’ve moved around in my life, but right now San Antonio, Texas is home.  I like traveling, dogs, running, and Microsoft Excel.

The goal of this site is to capture and reflect on ideas, knowledge, and frameworks for success that I learn from much smarter people.  Thanks for stopping by.
